Aims And Objectives

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The Institute has a duly registered Alumni Association in the name of “Jeevan Dhaara Alumni Association”.

Registration date: 02.11.2020, Under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act 2012 (Haryana Act No. 1 of 2012).

Jeevan Dhaara Alumni Association, a registered body, which strives to bring alumni together on a single platform in order to exchange knowledge, experiences, viewpoints, and opportunities with one another and to engage them in meaningful ways to support our students. Every year, the team innovates and executes several new events that either help the students and alumni in discovering a path to shape their career.The main objective of the association is to promote the cause of education, to maintain and develop network among the past and present students, to encourage the activities of Ganga Group of Institutions research association and to add values to the Ganga Group of Institutions. The Annual General body Meeting of the association is conducted during the month of April. These events are the perfect mixture of nostalgic memories and shaping the present for the future.

Name of the first Governing Body of the association to which the rules and bylaws of the managements affairs and elected in the last general body meeting is entrusted are as under :

OBJECTIVES

  • To carry on welfare activities of the members and up keep the value of social and cultural activities of the members of association.
  • To bring the former students of the Ganga Institute of Technology and Management under one forum for the dissemination and exchange of their experience, knowledge and talents amongst its members and the students of the college and for the furtherance of fellowship, advancement of scientific knowledge in the general interest of the community and country.
  • To conduct/sponsor a career guidance programme for the students to succeed in interviews employability skills and soft skills training.
  • To  raise or collect funds by subscriptions, contributions, donations, endowments, loans or by other legal means for the furtherance of the above objection of the association and for the institution managed by the association.
  • To advise state and central governments and state-owned quasi government organizations on technical matters including managerial aspects.
  • To conduct seminars, conferences, and meetings of engineers of all faculties for the purpose of exchange and promotion of knowledge among students, faculty, members of the association and the society of large.
  • To represent and participate in such seminars, conference, workshops, being conducted by various technical associations, establishments and check recognition (representation) in various forums of state and central government quasi governmental organizations, private and other autonomous bodies in so far as it would contribute to the furtherance of the objectives of the association.
  • To promote medical/health institutions, scientific/research institutions. To establish and run nursing rooms, hospital medical educational and research centers, medical colleges, competitive classes for medical engineering entrance and nursing  institutions, health sports/centers, and medicinal and hygienic capable units.
  • To promote educational facilities and bring them to the reach of poor and backward classes as far as possible.
  • To promote literacy, cultural and other social activities by awareness programmes, adult education classes, lectures, essay competitions, exhibitions, cultural programmes, press conferences and seminars.
  • Promotion and progress of agriculture and animal husbandry.
  • To take up programmes for accelerating the pace of rural development with application of science and technology (techniques and technologies for cost reduction, improving productivity. etc.) especially in the field of water conservation, sanitation, low-cost housing, agriculture and animal husbandry and engineering sources.
  • To take up programmes for ensuring protection of the environment and for regeneration of natural resources degraded due to past neglect.
  • Promotion and extension of appropriate technology including systems having renewable sources of energy.
  • Promotion of cottage and small scale industries by taking up action research work.
  • To take up programmes in which science and technology may have a major role in improving life, working conditions and opportunities for gainful employment of women.
  • To engage in delivery of citizen services in a transparent manner with use of information and communication technology.
  • To undertake impact evaluation of economic and social projects.
  • To undertake programmes which ensure raising of income level and expanding employment opportunities of the weaker sections of the associations, particularly of those living below the poverty line and women by involving participants in the planning, implementation and maintenance of activities taken up. 
  • To organize disadvantaged sections of association and take steps for increasing their level of awareness in regards to the programme contents and facilities therein under government/non-government programmes, legal provisions, etc. and also for increasing their bargaining power by promoting co-operative and group action.
  • To take up all formal and non-formal educational programmes as per directives contained in the national policy of education, 2020.
  • To work for promotion of sports and health care activities.
  • To raise or acquire funds or property from central government, state government, non-government agencies, charitable trusts by way of donations or, grants or, contribution or by taking loan from public and private financial institutions. The funds, properties, assets and all other resources, present and future, of the association shall be utilized for any or all the purposes or objects of the association as stated above and also for all other similar activities in furtherance of ideals of truth and non-violence.
